The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe already existing system and different forms of alternative film distribution in Czech Republic in particular distribution companies, which (according to the author) has an alternative film distribution approach. The aim is also to define the very concept of alternative distribution in comparison with mainstream distribution; to define the terms of arthouse or art and auteur film, but also to think about the current state of film distribution, about specific examples of release or presentation of particular films from author's sphere of interest. The thesis should also study the subject of event distribution, as a way of distribution of films that do not have a sufficiently strong audience base, and related marketing. The effort is also to find missing trends at the market and think about the meaning of new approaches and their impact to the audience. The aim is also to compare the different types and approaches to distribution that operate in the Czech Republic and to analyse specific examples of such approaches, also with regard to audience success.

Dubenský, David ; KOUTSKÁ, Kateřina (advisor) ; IBLOVÁ, Radmila (referee)
The practical part of thesis follows up the art processing of Mark Epsteins' screenplay Vlci a psi. The script is set in times after WW2, describing historical situation of the evacuation of Sudetenland Germans from previous Czechoslovakia in 1945. The practical part itself shows visual concept and structure which is presented by drafts of decorations and scenes. The decorations are visualized by coloured perspective views, drafts of each building and schematic designs. The teoretical part of the thesis is about analysis and parametres of stated films works that are very closely related to this issue and shows historical situation in film language. The visual part and its structure are shown in individual analysis. Results of the teoretical part were one of the basis for definition and visualisation of the practical part of thesis. Last but not the least the study of historical links, documents and internet portals containing given topic were another important teoretical source. These results of my thesis can be used as a source of interesting informations for a public, as an inpiration for film productions or as a study material for film students.

Producers Dramaturgy
Stránská, Martina ; KALLISTA, Jaromír (advisor) ; ŠUSTER, Jan (referee)
In my bachelor thesis, I deal with producers dramaturgy, meaning what is the role of the producer in the creative process of making a (feature) film. Due to the lack of written sources, I used the method of dialogue between among and Czech producers. I am interested in all the aspects they have influence on. All the producers were given the same questions dealing with developing the theme, building the creative team and postproduction including the distribution strategy. As a result, I try to answer the question whether Czech producers are creative and whether there exists films that can be called producers films.
